Puppies, Curtains, and Autumn

A dry leaf crackles underneath my sneaker. I look down and see that the leaf is an unattractive brown color, not at all like the bright red and orange leaves autumn is supposed to bring. As I look ahead to my front yard, I find that there actually are attractive leaves. I study them for a moment before plowing onwards.

The curtains that hang in my room are blue. I do not particularly think it matches my green-painted room, but don't want them to go. They have been there since...well...forever. I like my curtains. They are there to do a job, and they do it extremely well.

The puppy is a bundle of fur and energy. It explores its new home eagerly, sniffing around. Its new owners are joyful that they selected such an enthusiastic little animal. Isn't it cute? Aww...look at the wittle puppy! How adorable! But at night, the animal pines for its old bed and home. It howls all night, and the owners don't think it's so cute anymore. A little cruel, but oh well. Perhaps they will end up being the best of chums.
