CNN: Darth Vader

C: Hello, this is Cafina, coming in live with a guest. The one...the only...the one and only, Missssterrr DAAARTH VAAADER. Here I am, on our talk show, CNN (Cafina's News Network). Say hello to all our fans out there, Mister Vader.
DV: Hi.
C: Mister Vader, are you supposed to be dead? I mean, I'm not a Star Wars geek and all that, so please, enlighten me!
DV: Ummm, I think so. Not sure.
C: Right. Moving on. You were adorable as a child!
DV: Thankyouverymuch.
C: So, how did Luke react when you told him you were his father?
DV: Don't remember. I'm getting a bit old here, Cafina, so if you'll just excuse that, everything will be perfectly fine.
C: So sorry, Mister Vader. I apologize.
DV: Not okay, but whatever.
C: Er...do you remember much of the past?
DV *huffs angrily* What did I just say.
C: Sorry, sorry! *mutters under breath* Ooookay then. Lose the 'tude, Mister Vader, I ain't likin' it!
DV: What was that? Didn't catch it.
C: I didn't say anything.
DV: Really? I could've sworn I'd heard something.
C: No, I didn't say anything. Um, most of these questions are kinda pointless if you don't remember the past.
DV: Hey, I saw that basketball court in the basement as they were escorting me up. Mind if I leave and shoot some hoops?
C: Yeah, sure, no problem.
DV: Great! See ya. Peace out. *leaves*
C: Well....that sure was....erm, interesting.
Well, thanks for tuning in to CNN, and be sure to catch the new episode of CNN when it comes out! Thanks, and have a greatly fantastical amazing-ish day!

Random Facts

Hello! Sorry that I haven't posted for a while, there hasn't been quite enough time. But there isn't too much time right now, so I'll just provide you people with a couple of quick, random things that you might want to know.

-William of Orange ascended to the throne on February 13, 1689
-The American James Younger gang robbed its first bank in Missouri
- Liam Brady, a football player, was born today BUT in 1956
-Jenna Fischer is the actress of Pam Halpert in my current FAVORITE TV show, The Office
- The birthstone of February is an amethyst
- February is Library Lover's month
- February 3rd is Wear Red Day...which I forgot, and went to school with a blue shirt, and my principal scolded me
- February 28th is national Tooth Fairy Day
- February is National Chocolate Lover's month... Chocolate Lovers of the world, unite! (Hear that, Pinky?)
- I prefer dark chocolate to milk chocolate. More flavor, y'know?
-February 21st is Love Your Pet day
-I am aware that I have compiled more than a couple of facts, but these are so interesting that I forgot I had to be quick.

There ya go! I always find February kind of depressing, because I'm sick of winter by then. But now, I realize February is such an interesting little month, even after Valentine's Day is over.

Forever random,

CNN: Mr, Weatherman

Hello! This is Cafina here, coming in live with a guest, Mr. Weatherman, on our talk show, CNN (Cafina's News Network)! Now, tell me, Mr. Weatherman, how did you acquire such a name?
MW: I was a weatherman for two days.
C: Wow, that's not very long.
MW: I know.
C: So, er, what were you before a weatherman?
MW: A caveman.
*awkward silence*
C: I thought cavemen were in the pre-historic times or something like that.
MW: Well, I applied to be a caveman just a week ago and I got the job.
C: Uh, what were you before a caveman?
MW: A hobo.
C: That's what I'm talking about! Tell me, did your life as a hobo change you drastically?
MW: Why should I tell you?
C: Because audience members eat this stuff up like Pinky eats up chocolate cake! I have a script I stick to. I don't really want to ask you all this boring stuff.
MW: Oh.
C: Who's your best friend?
MW: Darth Vader.
C: Uhh...
MW: He's a good guy.
C: I thought he was evil.
MW: Perhaps. I just met him a few hours ago.
C: You are a strange man.
MW: Indeed.
C: Well, thanks for tuning in to CNN, and be sure to catch the new episode of CNN when it comes out! Thanks, and have a greatly fantastical amazing-ish day!
MW: I was a bobo head 'fore I was a hobo.

Thorium

Thorium.

What is it, you say? It is an element. An element I happen to know a few things about...

Thorium's symbol is Th.

It has 90 protons.

It also has 90 electrons.

Thorium is very reactive.

Thorium is a little radioactive.

Thorium is a rare earth metal.

Thorium is a actinide. This means it was one of the element that are after actinium that couldn't fit into the basic rectangle on the table of elements. As a result, they are below the basic rectangle.

Thorium is often used to make nuclear weapons and reactors.

Thorium is silvery-white.

Thorium was discovered by M. T. Esmark.

Thorium was named by Berzelius, after Thor, the Norse god of thunder, Norse is the religion of the Scandinavian people before the Christianization of Scandinavia.

Pinky's advice: If you happen to find thorium, do not eat it. It is very likely you will die. ;)

So next time you see a giant nuclear weapon lying at your feet., think THORIUM!

Goodbye now!

-P I N K Y
(P.S. I know all this because last year I did a science report on thorium. :))

A Real Conversation Including Peggie, Pinky, and Cafina

Pink= Pinky Purple=Peggie Green=Cafina Red=Other
____________________________________________

I don't like her bangs.

Neither do I. She looks like Taylor Swift.
HAHAHAHA!
Good job, Jesse Eisenberg.
NOO!
Who is this dude? Why are you kissing your wife? That makes no sense- you didn't deserve this award! Now you're kissing a dude? Wait- WHOA! Are you writing this down? Why are you writing this down? No, you can't write this down! But... seriously... this is another British guy. Like, EVERYONE is British!
YOU'RE SPITTING AT ME! I don't like Colin Firth.
Didn't I just say not to write this?
Khmmhm! Uhhuhuh! Stop writing this down.
You're saying this just so she'll write it down.
No, I'm not!
Yes, you are! You're laughing... True friend, huh? He's just using you for your money, fool. Ahahahaha! TUH! You write down when I laugh, too? You're wacked up. Uh!
She didn't say that.
She did.
She did? I didn't know that!
She's givin' you some beautiful things, huh. Don't write that down. That sounds wrong! Don't write that down either!
I'll fix the spellings and stuff later.
L'Oreal Paris.
Because you're worth it.

Robert Downey Junior.
I think you spelled his name wrong.
No, she didn't.
Oh.
Mmmmeh.
AHAHAHAAH! Hey! I don't laugh like that. I don't go, like, AHAHAHA! I go, like-- regular laugh. Really? You're going to write this down too?
You disgust me.
You're like a fat chicken in a pig mouth. Ahaha! I don't know where that came from. THE WHITES OF HIS EYES ARE GREEN. Doesn't that freak you out?
Technically, his greens are green.
Shut up. It's a Mexican frog with green eyes. I didn't say "technically", for your information. [Cafina] did. I didn't say, "Technically it was a Mexican frog with green eyes." Oh wait, I did! But I didn't say "technically'. No, really, change it.
Okay, okay.
Hmm...
You're going to go in a straitjacket. Nice and straight.
Well you're going to go like Kat did in Victorious... in the Mental Ward.
That was so weird! It was like... PSHH, PSHH. There is no hero, everyone's a loser.
What magazine is Life and Style? Wahhh... Batman! Oh wait, that looked like Batman.
Cape. Tomorrow. 9-8 central. Well, you know what, I'm probably going to go to bed. 'Cause I have to go to school.
JAY LENO! Wait, I thought that was Jay Leno.
That's not Jay Leno!
I thought it was Jay Leno! Johnny Depppppp!
He's in his glasses, looking all piratey. He has really high cheekbones, seriously.
Muns? Muns? Girls, come on up! you have to sleep now! <--[Pinky's Dad]
LATER, WE'RE BUSY!-- Watching the... the... Golden Globes... thing!

INCEPTION IS A COOL MOVIE... You can guess who said that.
I was your only friend! Your only friend! I'm not coming back for my share- I'm coming back for it all!
Hey, [Flippy]'s awake!
No, that's my mom!
OH! Sorry! I thought it was [Flippy.]
SAY IT. Aheeheeheeuhuhuh!
Pascal. Pascaaal. It's like Paaaasssscaaaalllll.
I like Pascal from Tangled. Eduardo!
Loser!
He reminds me of Robert Pattinson. Who I hate. Teehee!
HEEHEEHEEEHEEE! Stupid laugh!
AAHAHAAHAHAHA! I mean- who just picked Eduardo up? He like... picked him up... and made him walk up to the stage with him... creepy. Mutiny. Like they did to Jack on the Pearl.
Who's David Fincher? No, seriously, [Peggie], who's David Fincher? Well done, justicethat. Like I said before.... everybody's British. Man, Justin Bieber is the man! That's so stupid.
But this is so epic! The Golden Globes are OVVEERRR... and we're still up. AHEEHUHUHEHE!
I'm cold now.

...and so it goes.
Just to add, we were watching the Golden Globes on television as this happened- hence all the references to movies and movie stars. Peggie ate too much candy and had just finished being tortured by Pinky while Cafina researched Orlando Bloom. Blame it on that, folks.

Movies!

Dear Randomness, Inc. Readers,
Happy New Year! First post of 2011...just saying. You guys should enjoy this year, as it's the year before we'll supposedly 'die'. Anyway, I digress.

Back to the topic: movies! I am in a movie mood right now, which I have never been in before. It's a new experience. Due to the fact I come from a movie-obsessed family, I have seen quite a few films. So here I am, giving you my reviews from some movies I just randomly chose out of a hat!

Alice In Wonderland (Tim Burton's movie, of course)
Yay for Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter movies) and Johnny Depp (Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean, Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and a good many other films)! And I love Mia Wasikowska in this movie, she portrays Alice nicely. The movie was good, I just re-watched it yesterday! YAY! If you haven't watched it yet, be sure to see it.

Avatar
Yeah, yeah, I know. Bad timing. It was released two years ago, but really, I saw it in the beginning of 2010. The IMAX 3-D was incredible, it was like James Cameron made it especially for IMAX 3-D. But the storyline? Kind of predictable. But yes, I did like it.

Inception
Why am I reviewing only good movies? Strange. Anyway...back to Inception. This was a GREAT movie, but you gotta be smart to understand everything on the first time watching it. I certainly didn't. In fact, I didn't even WANT to watch it in the theater the first time, I just went 'cause I liked popcorn. I spent the first half of the movie playing games on my dad's iPhone, and then when the battery was low, I didn't understand anything about the movie and wasn't certain of anything except Ariadne's name had a cool connection to what she did in the movie and that Mal creeped me out.

But then when I checked out Roger Ebert's review of Inception, he liked it so I figured maybe I should give the movie a chance. And I watched it. And I liked it. So you should watch it, too!

TRON: Legacy
Meh. This was an OK movie, nothing special. I didn't like it that much, but I didn't positively hate it. If you have nothing better to do, TRON: Legacy will keep you entertained for a while at least.

There are your reviews for today, and hoping you have a very nice year!

Yours Randomly,
Cafina

Sky Gnomes... And Gnomes in General

Have you ever read Norman Eight's Left Arm? It's about a robot named Norman VIII. He doesn't believe in the existence of sky gnomes- so he bets his left arm that his friend won't be able to find any gnomes. Of course, he loses the bet. His friend finds some sky gnomes and gives them a teapot, and--

Okay. Too weird for ya? I'm sorry Too bad.

Right now, I'm obsessed with Scott Pilgrim graphic novels! And gnomes. Gnomes! And just not gnomes. Sky gnomes.

You do know what I'm talking about, right? I am NOT talking about those cute, pudgy fat little Santa Clauses that live in gardens. I am NOT talking about this super cute weird gnome right here.
NOT TALKING ABOUT THIS. ^

No, I'm talking about THIS.
WOULD SHOW THE WHOLE COMIC, BUT IT WAS ACTUALLY PRETTY DISTURBING.

That's right.
Everyone. I'm back. Scott Pilgrim is epic. Canada is sweet, but fail. George Clooney pwns everyone. Sky gnomes are totally in. TIME magazine is amazing. Christmas is coming soon.
And whatever else you can think of.

Taquitos

Dear Randomness, Inc. Readers,

Hello! Cafina here! Sorry I haven't been posting for a while, but I just wanted to ask all of you a question. Has anyone reading this ever tried a taquito? For those of you who have no idea whatsoever what a taquito is, (don't worry, I had no idea whatsoever what it was when I heard it, either) is a Mexican dish consisting of a small rolled up tortilla and some type of filling, usually beef or chicken.

Wondering why that's in italics? I copied it from Wikipedia. Don't wanna get accused of plaigarism, right, homies? It has a section on taquitos. And crumpets, too! But I shall not go off the topic, my dearest chums.

Right. Where was I? Oh yeah. The tortilla (filled already) is crisp fried. Most taquitos contain pork, veggies, and cheese. Most of them are served with guacamole and salsa.

So. Have any of you tried one? I haven't. But I wish to. I heard they are served for breakfast. Is that true? Hm...interesting. A taco-like meal for breakfast.

Esperamos hablar con usted de nuevo pronto!

Yours Randomly,
*Cafina*

Candy Girl and Veggie Boy!

Just so you know, I wrote this when I was very little. I just wanted to share this with you, but it won't be very good because I didn't edit it from when I was little

Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Riley and a boy named Kyle. The girl loved candy and the boy loved vegetables. They were friends. When they both turned 13, something magical happened.
One day they were leaving school when this…….creature walked up to them. Riley got scared and started chewing bubblegum. Kyle said cool and gave a carrot to the creature. The creature said “I am Vavaji your guardian. I am here to tell you about your powers.” “Powers?” said Riley, confused. ”Yes powers.” he said.
After Vavaji finished, the two were amazed. ”Do we really have those powers? Do we have a cool team name?” they kept on asking. Vavaji said, “You two are Candy Girl and Vegetable Boy.” “That’s why I have candy related powers? And I have vegetable related powers?” they asked. “Yes” he said, “Yes.”
A week later, Candy Girl and Vegetable Boy were practicing their powers when Vavaji appeared. He screamed “ARE YOU CRAZY?! YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO USE YOUR POWERS IN PUBLIC!!!” Then he gave them a long lecture about how letting people see them use their powers would be a disaster and stuff like that. Then he started talking about something that was not boring at all.
“It is time for your first quest.” said Vavaji. Their first quest! Candy Girl and Vegetable Boy were excited. Vavaji said they were going to fight their arch nemesis, Fruit Woman. “Cool! We have an arch nemesis already! Vavaji smiled and led them through a portal. You would never guess what they saw.
They were in a big candy corn castle with Corn shaped windows! “For this, this is your castle.” Vavaji said. Right after he said that, he closed his eyes and covered his ears. “OOOOOOOOOOOOH MYYYYYYYYYYY GOSSSSSHH!” CANDY Girl and Vegetable Boy screamed. They had their own castle! Then Vavaji opened another portal…….

The Jester

A strange painted face, a smile with a crazy twinkle, can describe the jester. His evil laugh fills the room, resounding on the eerie walls. They say he has lost it. They say he is mad. For he just waits inside the door, waiting for an unknown event. Waiting. And waiting. What could he be waiting for?

People say he is waiting for his cat, who died a dozen years back. Others say he’s not waiting, but thinking of an ingenious plan. Some people disagree; say they’ve seen him talking to the air, claiming he can see ghosts. They are all wrong. I know what the jester is really doing.

He lays in wait for his next victim. He waits for the next poor soul that he has decided on. Many people disappear, and there is never an explanation. That is because the jester has gotten them. No one knows what happens, because the screams and pleas are never heard. Neither is the loud, off beat guffawing of the jester.

It begins with dreams. You begin having nightmares, seeing his face and blood streaming down his arms. His cat, headless, yowls a menacing screech. Then you begin to sleepwalk, a few steps here and there. After a while you sleepwalk out the door, but no one would notice. No one ever does.

Unconsciously, your sleepwalking always leaves you if front of a door. I don’t think I have to tell you what is behind that door. You regain your senses, and confused, you open the door. That is the biggest mistake.

At that time, the jester’s wait is over. You can hear a cat in the distance, but there is none in sight, not that you can pay attention. Once again, the yelling and his happiness are not heard. When it is over, there is no evidence of what happened. And after a while, people stop looking for you.

You’re probably wondering how I know this. It’s because no one has seen me in a long time. Now they’ve stopped looking for me.

I was the latest victim.

But soon, the next person will meet their fate.

That person is you.

Birthday Time!

Dear Randomness, Inc. readers,
THIS WEEK IS MY BIRTHDAY!

Can you believe it? This very week is my birthday! This year has flown, honestly. I really cannot believe it. So can you guess what I'm getting?

An Ipod? Nope. Got that last year.

A laptop? I wish, but no.

Lots of love (but nothing else). Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not that nice. LOL. Oh wait, I just figured out that LOL stands for Laugh Out Loud but also Lots Of Love! Cool!

Yes. You guessed it. Wow, you guys are good.

An electric pencil sharpener.

Crazy, isn't it? Absolutely crazy! I am so lucky to have this amazing pencil sharpener bestowed upon me. It's a real neat, nifty little model, too. Anyway, my hand pencil sharpeners really suck, so I asked for this cool thing. :D Got it from Office Depot.

Can you guys guess what day my birthday is, perhaps? (BTW, Pinky, Peggie, you may not guess on this. You know what day it is and this is unfair!)

LOL,

Agelast

HEY EVERYONE! Guess what? I was browsing the Internet and I found the WEIRDEST word EVER! Okay, maybe not the weirdest word ever, but pretty weird. Can you guess what it is...? Oh, wait...the word is my title...heh heh heh....

AGELAST!

Cool, eh? Agelast! Can you feel the word agelast spreading over your tongue like an Icebreaker or a mint? Can you feel the taste of it? What a delightful word, don't you think. Now, you may be wondering what the lovely word agelast means. Here's a definition, copied from Google.

Agelast- One who never laughs; a mirthless person.

Yeah, okay, maybe that's not the happiest word around after all. But...I have improved your vocabulary (unless you already knew the word, of course...)! You should be proud of me. Agelast. Now you can brag to your friends about knowing an amazing word that they don't!

Actually, considering my friends, they won't really care.

Oh well!

THE STAR MACHINE!

If stars weren't fiery balls of gas, I think it would be quite interesting if people made a star machine. You could set the machine to different levels of things, like how high the stars could shoot up, and how fast they could shoot up.

And when they came falling back down, you could hold 'em in your hands and play catch or baseball or football with them.

They would twinkle brightly and light up the whole area. In fact, instead of using electricity, you could use stars for lights. True, you'd have to use a lot, since they would emit a very dim glow, but it would be amazing! :D

Oh yeah, and the star machine should be orange. Bright orange! On the side there should be the word STARS written in blue. With a blue arrow pointing up at the side where the stars come from.

TOTALLY AWESOME!

Cafina

Puppies, Curtains, and Autumn

A dry leaf crackles underneath my sneaker. I look down and see that the leaf is an unattractive brown color, not at all like the bright red and orange leaves autumn is supposed to bring. As I look ahead to my front yard, I find that there actually are attractive leaves. I study them for a moment before plowing onwards.

The curtains that hang in my room are blue. I do not particularly think it matches my green-painted room, but don't want them to go. They have been there since...well...forever. I like my curtains. They are there to do a job, and they do it extremely well.

The puppy is a bundle of fur and energy. It explores its new home eagerly, sniffing around. Its new owners are joyful that they selected such an enthusiastic little animal. Isn't it cute? Aww...look at the wittle puppy! How adorable! But at night, the animal pines for its old bed and home. It howls all night, and the owners don't think it's so cute anymore. A little cruel, but oh well. Perhaps they will end up being the best of chums.

Häagen-Daz

I love ice cream. Especially vanilla. And chocolate chip cookie dough. And chocolate fudge brownie. And Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches. And Klondike. But mostly...Häagen-Daz ice cream bars. I like the dark chocolate outer covering and the soft vanilla inside.

That is, no doubt about it, the best ice cream on the planet. Seriously. It is amazing. It is what happiness tastes like. It is what bliss tastes like. If I would never become fat, I would feast on Häagen-Daz.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFPJfsqkM6R_k6q9jbWTyer8Mk_BrkmRGUM5OffTn105eMjLOoQC3YumfsS-3LBlA58Uv28b9f6W7unomh1B5LXnsgtMqq_ryq1ueI-tkKBhmY_jLp9VOMZwdlUUImwCcmo-7GaiuXTqw6/s320/pro_vab_101.jpg

I embrace you, Reuben and Rose Mattus, for creating such a wonderful ice cream company. I embrace you and wish to visit your graves (if you have one, you may have been cremated) and tuck a rose into the dirt near it. YOU ARE AWESOME PEOPLE!
